• Am I eligible to use Union Shopper?
  Union Shopper provides a free shopping service to associated Union members in Australia, and is 100% Union-owned. Not all Unions in Australia are eligible though, only those associated with us and which support us. Therefore in a nutshell, if you're a member of an Australian union organisation and they support our services, you have immediate and automatic access to Union Shopper.
  
  Particularly you are eligible to use Union Shopper if you:
  
  • Are a current financial union member of one of our participating unions throughout Australia
    
  • Have a current union membership ID card or ticket.
    

• How do I know if my Union participates?
  Not all unions in Australia are eligible to benefit from Union Shopper, only those associated with us and which support us. The best idea is to contact your union, by making a quick phone call or perhaps check their website, to determine if members have access to Union Shopper services. Alternatively send us an email with details of your union and branch [if applicable] and your State of residence, and we will be only too happy to advise you.
  

• I’m a new Union member, where do I start?
  You've found us already, so that's a great start! Your union may have already introduced us, but put simply, with the consumer market as competitive as it's ever been, we aim to save you money. Could there be a better reason to make the most of the immediate benefits available to you through your union membership?

• I want to join an Australian Union, how, which one?
  The peak body of unions in Australia is the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) and they will be able to provide you with advice on the union best suited to your employ.
  
  For all other States, contact the ACTU Workers Line on 1300 362 223 or email helpline@actu.asn.au for assistance.
  
  If you live in Queensland you can contact the Queensland Council of Unions (formerly ACTUQ) on 07 3846 2468, by email at info@qcu.asn.au or visit their website, and they will help find the right union for you.
  
  Queensland members are strongly advised that after joining a union, and even for existing members, ensure you request and receive your annual Directory of Services booklet launched in January each year. Booklets are sent out directly to members by each participating Union. If you don't have one, contact your union today.
  

• Can my friends and family use Union Shopper too?
  Union Shopper is happy for you to use ANY of our services for the benefit of your immediate family. We do however aim to keep our service exclusive to genuine Union members and request that services are used with your personal knowledge. We also welcome you and your authorised family member to make product enquiries and purchases on behalf of your friends.
  
  Please note that strict adhesion to the current Australian privacy laws are practised throughout Union Shopper and its divisions where only you and an authorised family member are able to access your record/s and therefore fully use the service.
  

• Why can only members use Union Shopper’s website?
  Union Shopper is totally owned by unions, who are made up of members. So without members we wouldn't be here. We've realised the need to provide members even more outstanding value, that's why we've recently created a privileged area for use only by members. Anyone can still view unionshopper.com.au but only members will get the 'full exclusive experience'. Only members will be able to access detailed information about current offers, special deals, receive competition entries and much, much more.
